Andra Martens, Owner & Principal Designer

Andra started her Design Studio over fifteen years ago on the charming island of Belvedere, California just across from the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco. She’s a native Alaskan, long-time California resident and now a Canadian transplant. She’s had the pleasure of experiencing some of the most beautiful, natural places on earth that intrinsically inform her interior design sensibility. She’s fascinated by the relationship between the natural and built environments. Nature displays lessons in pattern, texture, colour and art composition that sooth the soul and spark innovative thinking.

As a result, AMDS focuses on a coastal aesthetic with casual, refined, organic, modern and minimalist leanings. Craftsmanship, attention to details and careful listening are what set her apart and have resulted in many happy clients and beautiful, enduring projects.

Andra received a Masters Degree in Interior Architecture and Design from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing from Arizona State University.
